New England based actors make producing debut with hilarious new comedy
BOSTON, MA, May 30, 2021 Senmer News Wire — Rising Hollywood stars Forest Quaglia and Will O’Connor team up with Boston director Teddy Pryor on The Investigators movie, a hilarious proof of concept short film that will soon be made into a feature-length production. The story follows two misfit private investigators that put their crime-fighting grit to the test while navigating through their dysfunctional brotherly bond. It has underlying themes of friendship, teamwork, and personal growth.
Like Tom Cruise, The Investigators embark on their own “Mission Impossible.” This wacky comedy was written by Forest Quaglia amid the stay-at-home initiative of 2020. After the state opened for business, he launched into the world of film production, making his producing debut with his co-producer Will O’Connor. Adapting to the changing times, this production followed the examples made by Hollywood’s most renowned celebrities and productions. The entire film was shot with minimal cast and crew, which included only three principal actors and six primary crew members.
This New England-based film was shot on location in Boston, Worcester and Warwick, Rhode Island. This film’s heart delivers the spirit of laughter to the people who need it the most this year. That goal was also achieved on set and behind the scenes as there were countless moments of uncontrollable laughter between cast and crew. They’re just getting started with The Investigators franchise. The team plans to produce a feature-length version of the film, hoping to release it on a large streaming platform like Netflix or Amazon Prime.
The Investigators’ production teamed up with the next wave of groundbreaking artists and filmmakers. Director Teddy Pryor is leading the way towards victory at the festivals. His unique perspective and filmmaking style put the film in a position to flourish. Zachariah Suto, the D.P and owner of Rat Castle Films, is a true cinematic visionary. Paired with A.C. Colin Munson, this dynamic cinematography duo is responsible for capturing the magic made on set.
Samantha Magnarelli is the editing powerhouse that’s cutting the footage together in the studio. The colorist, and sound designer, Matt Doucette, applies his mightiest touch to awaken a distinguished final image on screen. Kendall Pestana, master of art, took charge as our set decorator, creating an eye-catching aesthetic and atmosphere for our set locations.
The Investigators’ stars Forest Quaglia, Will O’Connor, and Amadeus Finlay. The actors first met last year as co-stars on the set of a big feature film, The Bootlegger, a docu-drama period film based on the life of Captain Charlie Travers, his boat, The Black Duck, and a rogue coast guard commander that set out to destroy Travers and his crew.
Will O’Connor has worked on both sides of the camera on numerous films. Will worked with the crew of Don’t Look Up, A Boston-based film starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Jennifer Lawrence. Amadeus Finlay is a man of many talents as an actor, writer, historian and musician. These budding stars make the for the perfect storm of comedic chaos in The Investigators movie.
