After three decades working for several elite law firms, Mr. Moore formed his own practice, Moore & Co., in January 2004. He was thrilled to establish his own firm, which is located in Coral Gables and specializes in maritime and admiralty law, aviation law and art law. Renowned for his experience, Mr. Moore and his fellow attorneys are accomplished professionals in local and international litigation and transactions, and are practicing attorneys in the state of Florida, as well as in Louisiana, New York and Washington, D.C.

Mr. Moore is a former partner at Holland & Knight in Miami, Florida, with which he garnered a superb reputation for his diligence in maritime law over his 22 years at the firm. During his tenure, which spanned from 1982 to 2004, he was fortunate to serve as executive partner for nine years beginning in 1993 and was on the board of directors from 1986 to 2004. Mr. Moore also had the extraordinary opportunity to practice overseas in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, as an associate with Hassan, Mahassni, Burlingham, Underwood & Lord for two years, after having previously spent three years at the firm’s New York City office. At the time, the organization was named Burlingham, Underwood & Lord.

As an extension of his work in the field, Mr. Moore has contributed numerous articles to peer reviewed law journals. He is also the founder and former editor-in-chief of Southern District Digest, a position he held from 1980 to 1982.

Civically, Mr. Moore has enjoyed the challenge of being actively involved in numerous initiatives and causes. He has been a chancellor for St. Stephen’s Episcopalian Church since 2000, and a member of the board of directors and board of trustees for the United Way of Greater Miami since 1994. He has also made an impact as chairman of the Alexis de Tocqueville Society, a member of the Coral Gables Youth Advisory Board, the chairman and a board of directors member of the Florida National Guard Foundation, and as a member of the Orange Bowl Committee.

Alongside his career interests, Mr. Moore is a past president of The Marine Council and president of the Admirals of the Fleet of Florida. He was appointed as a member of the Miami River Commission, named the chairman of the International SeaKeepers Society and has been a board member of the U.S. Sailing Center. Today, he remains a longtime member of the board of directors for the Miami Maritime Arbitration Council since 1985.

Mr. Moore studied at the University of Florida where he achieved both a Bachelor of Arts and Doctor of Jurisprudence in 1970 and 1974, respectively. He is board certified in maritime law and speaks English, Arabic and Spanish.

As a testament to his commitment to the law, Mr. Moore is an elected fellow of the American Bar Association and a prominent member of both the Maritime Law Association of the U.S. and the Florida Bar Association. Additionally, Mr. Moore is a member of the Dade County Bar Association, with which he has served on the board of directors.

Mr. Moore received an Outstanding Young Lawyer Award from the Dade County Bar Association in 1982. Recognized as a Florida Super Lawyer and by Best Lawyers in America, among other legal publications, he was also selected as a Top Attorney in the Miami Area by The American Registry. Furthermore, he was featured in Politics Magazine for his outstanding expertise. Holding an AV Preeminent rating through Martindale-Hubbell, Mr. Moore is also a celebrated Marquis listee, and has been included in over 25 editions of Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in American Law, and Who’s Who in the South and Southwest.
