“We’ve all been influenced by teachers in our past who made a huge difference in our lives. It gives me great pleasure to give back to our teachers and local elementary schools in this way.”

HOUSTON, TX, August 24, 2021 Senmer News Wire — Teachers throughout Houston lift up and inspire our young children, and Terry Bryant Accident & Injury Law wants to salute and reward these outstanding efforts by educators.

In its second annual “Pencils 4 Students” campaign, the prominent Houston personal injury law firm will once again give away thousands of pencils to Houston-area students. This year, 10 Houston-area elementary schools will receive pencils for every enrolled student. Terry Bryant announced it will also award $250 prizes to 10 teachers in Houston-area elementary schools as a way of thanking them for their service. Through the first nomination of an elementary school’s teacher, that school will be entered into the free pencil drawing.

“These are still very challenging times for students and teachers, and anything we can do to support and encourage them is deeply meaningful to us,” said attorney Terry Bryant, the eponymous firm founder and former judge. “We’ve all been influenced by teachers in our past who made a huge difference in our lives. It gives me great pleasure to give back to our teachers and local elementary schools in this way.”

To qualify, a nominee must be employed during the 2021 – 2022 school year at a Houston-area elementary school. You can nominate your favorite teacher here by providing the following information:

• Your Name
• Your Email Address
• Teacher’s Name
• Teacher’s Elementary School
• What Makes this Teacher Great (optional)

The 10 winning teachers will receive checks for $250 each. The gifts are not restricted in any way. The $250 checks are an expression of our gratitude for the hard work, compassion, and enduring spirit of teachers. Each unique nomination of a teacher will be added to the drawing for the 10 cash prizes – but a specific teacher can only win once. The winning teachers will be randomly selected.

The 10 winning elementary schools – which will receive a pencil for every student enrolled – will be chosen randomly from the teacher nominations. Each unique teacher nomination from a specific school will be added to the drawing for free pencils – but a specific school can only win once.

The deadline for nominating Houston-area elementary school teachers for $250 prizes and their respective schools for free pencils is September 10, 2021.

The winning teachers and schools will be announced by the end of September on our website and social media.

School Supplies for Students

We know that teachers in Houston and around the country frequently reach into their own pockets to buy school supplies for their students. This can add up to hundreds of dollars each year for a teacher. That’s why Terry Bryant Accident & Injury Law (Houston, TX) established its “Pencils 4 Students” free pencil campaign last year, giving away thousands of pencils to local students and teachers. Children and teachers have enough to focus on during the school year without having to worry about school supplies. With so much uncertainty in the world right now because of COVID-19, our law firm wanted to once again give students, teachers, and parents something to look forward to.

Terry Bryant Celebrates Community Involvement

Our law firm is deeply committed to the communities we serve. We recognize that tomorrow’s leaders in Houston are being educated today. A good education is a significant indicator of future success. Anything our team can do to give Houston-area elementary school students a leg up is a wonderful opportunity for us. We also want to celebrate our teachers and the outstanding work they do.

Houston boasts the largest public school district in Texas and is the 7th largest school district in the United States. Of the district’s 276 schools, 160 are elementary schools. The district serves more than 196,000 students overall. Roughly 100 languages are spoken in Houston’s schools, and more than 78% of students are economically disadvantaged.

We wish all of our students a successful year in school, and we will continue to look for ways to help Houston’s students succeed. We also want to recognize and thank our committed and talented teachers. Because of their hard work, Houston is a better community in which to live.
