Kadabra Transitions to a Product-led Business Model
SAN JOSE, CA, September 15, 2021 Senmer News Wire — Kadabra, formally known as SJ Leadership Coach, LLC, is a future-focused leadership and change consulting firm grounded in experiential insight.
Due to ongoing disruption in the coaching and consulting services industry from the impact of COVID-19 and personal reasons for Kadabra’s owner and founder, Wendy Ryan, Kadabra has made a strategic decision to transition from a consulting-led to a product-led business model.
Effective October 1, 2021, Heather Leavitt Martinez will be taking on a new role as Kadabra’s Director of Design and Visualization. Lyman, Finger, and Horan will continue to work with Kadabra clients on a contract basis for select coaching, facilitation, and consulting engagements. Wendy Ryan and Monica Silkwood will continue in their current roles as Chief Executive Officer and Director of Operations and Experience respectively and Alec Ferguson. will continue in his role in IT and Experience Support.
According to Ryan, “Our core mission and purpose remain unchanged – to expand what’s possible for leaders, their teams, and their organizations to achieve. As part of this transition, we have made the difficult decision to eliminate the Practice Leader role and will be adopting a new, leaner organizational structure beginning in Q4. Several other key staff positions are also being eliminated as part of the company’s reorganization. We are deeply grateful to all of our current staff, especially our Operations and Experience Project Manager, Naomi Atkins, Administrative Coordinator, Melissa Ezaki, Practice Leaders, Johanna Lyman, Gail Finger, Heather Leavitt Martinez, and former Practice Leader, Sherri Horan, for their past, present and future contributions to Kadabra and our clients’ success.”
Ryan states, “One of our core values at Kadabra is vulnerability. I can’t imagine making such a profound strategic shift in our business without sharing it publicly. As a small business, COVID-19 in combination with our racial reckoning required us to question and adjust how we delivered our work and what value we delivered while navigating difficult challenges in our personal lives multiple times. I could not be prouder of this team, the high quality of their work, their dedication, and grit they’ve demonstrated throughout the past 2 years. Despite the fact that this transition will be hard for all of us internally, I take comfort in the fact that our current clients will continue to enjoy the same excellent service from Kadabra uninterrupted. And, I am excited for what the future holds as we look to build a new product suite based on the Learn Lead Lift Framework(TM).”
The Learn Lead Lift Framework(TM) is based on Ryan’s bestselling book, Learn Lead Lift: How to Think, Act, and Inspire Your Way to Greatness. For press inquiries, please contact Publicist, LaKesha Cole at [email protected].
