Ms. Jackson-Hardwick is a retired federal employee of the Department of Veteran Affairs, for which she was employed for more than 30 years. She began her career in 1983 as a file clerk, serving until 1998. She was then employed as a military services coordinator for the Veterans Administration Regional Office. She flourished in this role until 2012. From 2012 to 2015, she also worked as a military services coordinator for the Department of Veterans Affairs and the United States Department of Defense.
As an employee at the Department of Veteran Affairs, Ms. Jackson-Hardwick worked with accounts receivable as an educational clerk, a benefits counselor and a veterans’ service representative. For more than 20 years, she provided service as a member and youth director of the Vacation Bible School of the Pleasant Olive Missionary Baptist Church of Waco, Texas and the Community Baptist Church of El Paso, Texas. In 1981, Ms. Jackson-Hardwick obtained a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration at Paul Quinn College in Waco, Texas. In 2015, she furthered her education and earned a Master of Arts in Management and Leadership from Webster University St. Louis, Missouri.
Ms. Jackson-Hardwick attributes her success to her father’s influence. She is proud of the results of her hard work, which stems from a passion for helping other individuals, an attribute that allowed her to easily build relationships with many veterans. She has been involved in other areas to include Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. (a public service sorority). She currently serves as president of the NAACP branch in El Paso, TX.
