Mr. Ntia channels years of excellence into his current role with iRhythm Technologies

Raised in Nigeria, Mr. Ntia witnessed horrendous degradation to the natural environment. Inspired by his father, who worked for a multinational company that utilized an environmental health and safety management program, he decided to follow in his footsteps. After earning a bachelor’s degree in environmental technology from the Federal University of Technology, Owerri in 2010, Mr. Ntia began his career in the environmental health and safety industry working in various capacities in different organizations and continues to do so in his current role as Environmental Health and Safety Manager in iRhythm Technologies.
Drawing upon his considerable expertise, Mr. Ntia currently leads the EHS program in iRhythm Technologies Inc., where he directs and develops the corporate environmental health and safety management programs and strategy. Driven to remain aware of changes in the field, he has recently furthered his expertise, earning a master’s degree in safety, health and environment from the University of Salford, United Kingdom. Moreover, Mr. Ntia is also board certified as a safety professional with the Board of Certified Safety Professional (BCSP).
Due to his vast breadth of knowledge, Mr. Ntia has been invited to attend an EHS leadership and management training at Harvard University. Even though his career has been filled with highlights, he is incredibly proud of his recent experience with Vyaire Medical, a global medical device manufacturer, where he developed and deployed a successful corporate wide safety management system for the North American business unit. Early in 2021, he received a commendation from his chief operating officer and vice president of manufacturing for developing the EHS program and generating information that was reflective and meaningful to the senior leadership in their decision-making process. In the coming years, Mr. Ntia aspires to lead EHS programs and strategies that will impact the culture and well-being of employees, obtain a PhD and dedicate more of his time to supporting nonprofit groups.
