Dr. Thomas is board certified in family medicine and holds a medical license in the state of Georgia. Since 2018, he has found success as a faculty physician at the Wellstar Atlanta Medical Center. To remain aware of the advancements in his field, he is affiliated with the American Board of Family Medicine, the American Academy of Family Physicians and the Georgia Academy of Family Physicians. A reputable scholar, he is active as a member of the Society of Teachers of Family Medicine’s New Faculty Scholars Program as well as the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society.

Passionate about bettering the lives of others, Dr. Thomas has served as a board member of the Village Initiative Project, Inc. He is also an active member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., serving as the Project Alpha lead for his chapter and the advisor for his former chapter seated at Emory University. From 2019 to 2021, he was presented with the Faculty of the Year Award from the Wellstar Atlanta Medical Center’s family medicine residency program. As a resident in 2018, he was the recipient of his residency program’s research award. In the future, Dr. Thomas has goals to continue teaching while additionally supporting his community by establishing a medical clinic for the medically underserved.
